"End the Monotone" was originally started as part of an Auld Lang Syne competition, which challenged artists of the vg remix community to compose and record an original album by the new year.

I couldn't finish the album in time for the competition, but eventually finished later on. I had about 13 tracks finished, or somewhat finished, but decided to cut the album down to 10 songs, because some of the songs need more work both structurally and production-wise. These are the tracks that made the final cut.
